Terms of use
Understand how to use Digital Labs and what happens to your learning records.
Draft for owner and legal review
This is an English-language local review draft, not an effective policy or a new agreement. It describes the current Labs design. The owner must confirm its scope and legal wording before publication. Opening this page does not record acceptance or change your account choices.
1. A place to practise
Digital Labs offers guided computer activities, typing practice, games and skill checks. Tcha helps explain the next step. Practice results describe what happened in an activity; they are not a formal qualification, certification or guarantee of competence.
These draft terms concern the standalone Labs experience. KEYBAKI account registration and sign-in continue through the parent KEYBAKI service and its own terms. This draft adds no payment plan, checkout, subscription promise or new acceptance requirement.
2. Choose the right learning mode
Device learners keep their names, settings and progress in this browser. These profiles are convenient on shared computers, but they are not private sign-in accounts: other people using the same browser can open them. Choose the correct learner before practising.
When the account connection is enabled and your KEYBAKI account is active, you can sign in through KEYBAKI. Labs then uses the signed-in learner’s account workspace. A local nickname is not proof of identity. Signing in does not automatically import or claim device records.
Keep your KEYBAKI credentials private. Sign out of Labs before handing over a shared computer. KEYBAKI may still be signed in separately, so sign out there too. If you suspect someone has used your account, stop using that session and seek help through KEYBAKI.
3. Children, families and schools
Young learners should use Labs with appropriate parent, guardian or school support. Account registration and any guardian approval happen in KEYBAKI; creating a local device nickname does not perform that approval.
A parent or teacher selecting a child in the parent app does not automatically switch the standalone Labs account. School membership, delegated access and teacher permissions must be authorised through the relevant service. A teaching demonstration is not access to a real school roster.
The owner must confirm the rules for supervised device-only use, school responsibilities and the relationship to existing guardian consent before publishing these draft terms.
4. Use Labs respectfully
Use the activities to learn and help others learn. Respect the privacy and work of other learners.
- Do not impersonate another learner, school or staff member, or try to bypass account and access controls.
- Do not alter, delete, export or share someone else’s records without permission.
- Do not upload harmful or unlawful material or interfere with the service.
- Use fictional details in practice activities. Do not enter real passwords, payment details or sensitive information into a simulation.
- Respect ownership and licence notices on learning content. This draft does not grant permission to redistribute or resell that content.
5. Look after your progress
Back up device progress using the available learner backup controls. Clearing browser data, using a different browser or losing access to the device can remove local records. A downloaded backup contains learner information; store and share it carefully.
Account progress needs an internet connection to save. Check the save status before leaving. A failed save, incomplete activity or discarded change may not appear later. When an account workspace locks, return through the account controls rather than assuming its unsaved changes were uploaded.
Previously cached activities may work in device mode without a connection, but some content, media and account features may be unavailable. Activities that teach keyboard or mouse skills may require a computer.
6. Availability, changes and unresolved terms
The service can encounter errors or become unavailable. Optional narration depends on available media and device voices; written instructions remain important. Ask for help if an activity or result seems wrong.
This draft does not set liability exclusions, governing law, dispute procedures, suspension notice periods or a legal effective date. The owner and legal reviewer must confirm those terms and how they relate to the parent KEYBAKI documents before publication.
Questions and requests
The parent KEYBAKI legal documents identify WEBFLEG SOLUTIONS LTD, P.O. Box 8138-00300, Nairobi, Kenya, as the operator. They list hello@keybaki.com for general questions and dpo@keybaki.com for data-protection requests. The owner must confirm that these details also cover standalone Digital Labs before this draft is published.
For a request about Labs records, say whether you used a device learner or a KEYBAKI account. Never send a password, PIN, verification code or session link.
Read the parent KEYBAKI Terms (opens in a new tab) and KEYBAKI Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab). This Labs draft does not resolve or replace those documents.
